When Emotions Feel Too Much, There Is a Way Forward

Whether you’re carrying the weight of trauma and overwhelming emotions, or caught in the cycle of yelling and guilt with your kids, you’re not alone. As a psychologist specialising in DBT and EMDR, I’ll support you with evidence-based therapy and practical emotion regulation skills, so you can steady yourself, heal from the past, and build calmer, more connected relationships.

Hello and welcome to The Emotional Wellbeing Hub: the place where you can move from feeling overwhelmed by emotions, trauma, or daily parenting battles, to feeling calmer, steadier, and more connected in your life and relationships.

The Emotional Wellbeing Hub exists because I understand one thing very clearly: you want to feel more in control of your emotions, and you want to do that in a way that feels safe, validating, and realistic for the life you’re living.

And more than that,

If you’re a parent, you want to stop snapping, break the guilt cycle, and create a home where your kids feel safe and connected.

If you’re seeking therapy, you want freedom from the grip of your past, steadier emotions, and relationships that don’t feel like a rollercoaster.

I first began offering private therapy alongside my NHS role back in 2016, gradually building up my practice while leading services in the NHS. Over the years I saw just how many people, whether struggling with trauma or with the emotional weight of parenting, were left feeling unsupported, stuck, or misunderstood.

That’s why, in 2025, I founded The Emotional Wellbeing Hub: a safe space where psychological therapy and practical skills for parents come together under one roof. A space where support is delivered with compassion, validation, and evidence-based care.

Everything here is driven by my core values:

Safety and validation first

Practical skills you can use straight away

Deeper healing for the long term

Empowerment through understanding

It’s how I help you move from survival mode to steadier, calmer living; whether that’s in your own mind and body, or in the way you show up with your children.

A Safe Place for Big Emotions

If you’ve found yourself here, it’s probably because life feels harder than it should.

Maybe your emotions swing so quickly it leaves you exhausted.

Maybe you feel trapped in old patterns, haunted by memories, or stuck in relationships that feel like a rollercoaster.

Or maybe you’re a parent, worn thin by daily stress, snapping when you swore you wouldn’t, and carrying guilt that feels heavy at the end of the day.

I want you to know something important: you are not broken. Your mind and body have been doing their best to protect you, even if it doesn’t always feel like it. Here at The Emotional Wellbeing Hub, you’ll never be met with judgment or shame; only safety, understanding, and compassion.

My approach is simple:
We build tools you can use right now, whether that’s calming flashbacks, managing spirals, or pausing before yelling.
We gently work through what’s driving the pain, so trauma memories or old patterns lose their painful grip.
And we move at your pace: never rushed, never forced.

I’ve been working with people facing trauma and big emotions for over a decade, both in the NHS and here in private practice. I founded The Emotional Wellbeing Hub in 2025 because I wanted to create a safe place where evidence-based therapy (DBT and EMDR) is blended with practical emotion regulation skills for everyday life. including parenting.

Along the way, my work has been recognised with the Association of Psychological Therapies Award for Excellence in DBT, but what matters most to me is that clients and parents alike feel safe, supported, and proud of the progress they make.

If you’re ready to take that first step, know this: you don’t have to do it alone. I’ll walk alongside you, helping you steady the chaos, understand what’s happening inside, and build a life (and family) that feels calmer, more connected, and truly worth living.
